At its annual celebration in the Marland Grand Home, NERA Executive Director Tom Short is presented an award by Ponca City Main Street for Best Revitalization Project of 2016. Thanks to the significant generosity and effort of Kay County leaders and businesses, and its new designation as an official Oklahoma Food Resource Center, NERA's offices were moved into a renovated, repurposed building on South 1st Street in downtown Ponca City, providing volunteers and Clients alike with a bright, inviting, and highly-functional facility.
Your New Emergency Resource Agency - Food Resource Center was awarded a Certificate of Merit as an Oklahoma Certified Healthy Business. This award was another recognition of NERA's outstanding volunteers, donors, and managers - and their continuing focus to support a healthier northern Oklahoma community.
